Beyond the Circle: Coming this September!

To make sessions more exciting, students are placed into two teams — The Dukes or The Barons — and compete for monthly glory. Classes rotate between three formats: collaborative storytelling in ‘The Boardroom’, vocabulary focus in ‘The Pulpit’, and competitive speeches in ‘The Throne’.

  • Two teams of 4 students each collaborate to create a story using specific vocabulary.
  • Emphasizes collaboration, creativity, competition, and innovation.
  • Teams are scored based on fluency, accuracy, contribution, and pronunciation (by AI or the teacher).
  • The best story wins a prize, and a league table tracks ongoing competition.

The Pulpit

  • A small, intimate setting with 4 students focused on deep vocabulary learning.
  • Includes engaging exercises, quizzes, or games to practice and reinforce vocabulary usage.
  • Promotes individual mastery and fluency in a comfortable, supportive atmosphere.
  • No competition—students learn at their own pace, gaining confidence, and motivation.

The Throne

  • A highly competitive format where each student individually creates a story using advanced vocabulary.
  • One student is nominated to "take the throne" and present their story to the class.
  • Other students provide feedback, fostering bravery, confidence, and mastery of challenging language.
  • Encourages high-stakes learning and refinement of advanced skills.
